One of the great Christian authors Leonard Sweet, maintains that if God were to give us only one word it would be “Mission.” Two-thirds of the word “God” is “Go.” God is a missionary God; Jesus is a missionary Messiah; the Holy Spirit is a missionary Spirit. Mission is the family business. The life of every follower of Jesus is a missionary life; every marriage is a missionary marriage; every vocation (butcher, baker, candlestick maker) is a missionary vocation.
