Every family has a different tradition of when it is time to put away the Christmas decorations. Wrapping up the decorations and putting them out of sight signifies that the feast of celebration is over and ordinary life resumes. In my family, my wife insists we keep the decorations up until January 6th. In most Christian traditions this date is recognized as Epiphany. It officially ends the Twelve Days of Christmas.
