In their book, The Meaning of Marriage (Dutton, 2011), pp. 145-146, Timothy Keller and Kathy Keller describe a particularly difficult time for their marriage. After Tim accepted the call to move to New York City to start Redeemer Presbyterian Church, he asked Kathy to give him three years of extra long hours of work. That meant he would not be at home as much as she wanted, or needed him, and most of the burden of raising the children would fall on her.
