Missions

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations” Matthew 28:19

Four Mile Creek Baptist Church provides opportunities for missions outreach on a local, regional, national, and international levels. Internationally, FMC has travelled to Haiti, Dominican Republic, Macedonia, and Puerto Rico. We went to Slidell, Louisiana to assist with Hurricane Katrina relief and have worked with migrant farmers on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. At home we provide Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets to community members in need, support local missionaries, partner with the Pregnancy Resource Center of Metro Richmond to provide baby supplies, participate in Rebuilding Together, and much more. For more information or to participate in these or other mission opportunities, please contact our church office at 804.795.2044.

A few ongoing missions include:

Impact Varina

If you or someone you know needs assistance, whether the need is painting, yard work, minor repairs, building wheelchair ramps, etc., please let us know! Teams from FMC periodically go out into our community and assist these repairs and more.

Caritas

Each year, FMC hosts CARITAS for at least one week. CARITAS is a Richmond-based homeless ministry that seeks to provide basic needs for participants and serve as a resource to get them back on their feet. For more information on CARITAS, please visit their website www.caritasshelter.org.

Operation Christmas Child

Each shoe box is filled with toys and other goodies and sent to boys and girls in over 130 countries. We collect gifts all year long and host a packing party in December to fill the boxes.
